More Paper Birds

Following on from my mobile of paper cranes the other day, I’ve been experimenting with other ways of making birds out of origami, and have created a banner of paper birds which look like they’re in flight. Like my crane mobile, these birds have also taken up residency in my bedroom:

A Family of Paper Cranes

So, just started my design specialism course in handmade graphics, and came home brimming with enthusiasm for all things craft based and handmade. As a result of this enthusiasm I started playing around with paper, and ended up making a family of origami cranes which I then turned into a mobile:

Since writing about the Jme range, I have since found out from Jonathn Ford, Creative Partner of Pearlfisher when he came to lecture at my uni, that the Jme range isn’t available in supermarkets, only on his website and through ‘Jamies Aunties,’ a group of women that do door to door sales of his homeware [...]

Vomit inducing trips to the supermarché

Does anyone else walk in to a supermarket and want to vomit at the sight of some of the packaging on offer? I know I do. Why can’t we have something more like Jamie Oliver’s range of foodstuffs readily available?
